Simon Hann
Simon has nearly 20 years operational experience including conventional oil and gas, geothermal, HPHT, and coal seam gas drilling and completions. He has four years offshore experience including semi-submersible tender assist, drill ship and jack-up and seven years management experience including roles as Operations Manager, Drilling Team Leader, and Drilling and Completions Manager; demonstrating competency in management of rig operations, well design, complex project planning and execution.
His senior management experience spans both super-majors and start-up companies; capable of building management systems from scratch or working within large organisations to optimise existing tools. He is well regarded as a builder of highly motivated and effective teams.
Ken Aitken
Ken brings over 30 years of international experience in onshore and offshore oil and gas developments in technical, leadership and executive roles. He is fully conversant with all aspects of upstream oil and gas projects – exploration, development and production.
He has a worked for major and small/mid cap operators including Origin Energy, Hess Corporation, Apache, New Standard Energy and Empire Oil and Gas. Roles have included Chief Petroleum Engineer, Reservoir Development Manager, Asset Manager, General Manager Operations and Engineering and CEO.
Ken holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University. Ken is a member of the Association of Company Directors and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Doug Barrenger
Doug Barrenger received a BSc degree (Geology) from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Computing Science from the Queensland University of Technology.
He has more than 35 years of experience in the petroleum industry. He has written numerous Independent Expert Reports, Resource Reports and Acreage and Resource Valuations, for IPO on several stock exchanges. He was the General Manager Subsurface at Exoma Energy through 2012 and is a founding partner of Fluid Energy Consultants (2013).
He is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and a thirty-five-year, Active Member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (number 330431).
David Emslie
David is an engineering professional with over 30 years’ experience. His core competencies cover project development and delivery from concept developments to commissioning, start-up and operations turnover.
He has extensive experience in pre-FEED, FEED, construction and commissioning and has been heavily involved in the recruitment and leadership of multi-discipline engineering teams.
David holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Melbourne, is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer.
